Uninsured coverage is required by State law, but Underinsured coverage is not required and is optional.

Effective January 1st, 2007,South Carolina's minimum limits are $25,000/50,000/25,000. The $25,000 is bodiliy injury coverage for each person whom you may injure in any single accident and $50,000 of bodiliy injury coverage for two or more people whom you may injure in any single accident. The $25,000 is property damage coverage for each accident you may cause.
